I love it!Ok, after buying this and reading all the feedback.. Here is what I got. It is heavy, so the top making it in one piece is a miracle in itself. No way one driver can manhandle this thing without sliding or tipping and dragging it on its side. I was nervous about the tile portion because of the feedback. I opened it and I did see one line crack where the grout broke. Not bad, I can fix that. The overall view of the top is very nice to look at and in my opinion nicely made. You need to turn the top upside down to put on the legs and walls, that is when I understood the weight of the top compared to the weight of the stand.... Top seemed it would win. Make sure you can see the front leg with the magnet and the other front leg with a tab on two spots of the leg. Those are the front legs that the door connects to. The other two are the back legs.... Put it together, honestly it is pretty easy if you ever put together a computer desk. When we turned the whole unit over, I noticed the missing grout crack spot had regained its missing piece.. So I through in the crazy glue and you can't even see it now. Now the lighting the pilot part... When you put on a new tank,, the propane has to get up the line, So don't think your doing it wrong,, just do it a few times... Push in the knob and rotate it to the left to the high level.. Keep it pushed in... you will hear a click.. do not let go when it lights... leave it there for about 10 seconds still pushing in on the knob.. If it does not light,, turn it back to off and do it like 4 or five times to get the propane through the line..It will light.. Now the lava rocks or the glass... I put in the two bags of lava rocks that came with it, but I also bought one bag of blue and white glass rocks.. I sprinkled those into the lava rocks and that looks pretty cool.. I sat on the side the wind was blowing and I got the best spot for some heat, while it was on low.. If it is a calm night and you put in on high for about an half an hour to warm the lava rocks then turn it to low... It is nice.. Have a beer, wine, water whatever and enjoy the flame and the sparkles from the glass (if you got any to add to the lava)... Nice night.. When your done, turn it off.. go inside.. As stated,, don't add the cover until it cools off.. Hello,, cover is plastic.. Heat will win every time. I am a normal middle class person that spent 150 bucks and 20 bucks to refill a tank... Lastly since you are looking at the one with the diamond holes around the walls and I saw someone complain about seeing the tank.. Once mine was in there, I did understand the comment. So I took the 3 pieces of cardboard that came with the packaging to separate the walls and spray painted them black. Then I put them on the inside against all three sides. They fit snug on each inner wall and solved the problem using no tape to hold them in. As for the door portion, I used tin foil. Painted it black and did the same thing. Now my unit looks like the higher priced one with solid walls and it only cost me the price for the spray paint which I already had. I honestly wear a coat when I am outside at night in winter so I never assumed a fire could fully keep me toasty. I think this is a great little unit and so happy I got one. You see them at hotels and are like,, dang how nice would this be at home.. Well it is and for not a lot of money.Great product for the money. Easy to use. Sturdy and good quality.Doesn't work right of the box. Assumed it was a igniter battery. The troubleshooting section of the manual says to follow the assembly instructions to replace the battery. I have read the manual cover to cover and don't see anything about where the battery is located or how to replace it. I followed the wires from the igniter to the burner and I see nothing relative to a battery. Come on, this should be straightforward like every gas appliance I have very owned. Feel free to contact me to correct this mess and I'll consider changing my rating. UPDATE: After an initial call to Blue Rhino where their phones were down, I was finally able to get in touch with a tech guy that informed me the troubleshooting section about replacing the battery is a mistake in the manual. This model doesn't have a battery foe the igniter. Ultimately they are shipping me some new parts AND I was able to get the pit working. Based on the short period I have had it on this evening it is awesome. I can't give them 5 stars due to the manual snafu and the trouble with getting the pit working, however very impressed with this unit so far. Note: I bought a ceramic tile from Lowe's per another reviewer's idea, then added some waterproof weather striping to the bottom of the tile. This covers up the burner pan giving me a full table top and eliminates needing to use the cheap vinyl cover provided by Blue Rhino.Service was definitely a 5 star. Love the Firepit.
